1 - Rejuvenate your workspace
There's nothing worse than coming into the office with the remnants of 2017 lingering still.
Get rid of your old calendars, paperwork, and clear out your drawers ready for the New Year.
If you fancy a change of scenery, you could rearrange your workspace – refreshing your view as well as your stationery will (literally) give you a new perspective on your work!
2 - Start new traditions
It's easy to get into a routine whilst you work. Use the New Use the New Year to create new habits that will make you work more productively (and feel better!). These could be large or small, like going for lunch with colleagues, getting outside more on your lunch break, or introducing a new team initiative.
3 - Learn something new
Advancing your skills is a great way to kick off the New Year (and make sure you end it on a positive note too). If you can, enrolling yourself on a training course or two or reading a book is a good place to start. Shadowing a colleague in a different department is a productive way to share ideas, skills, and learn something new about where you work, too.
Will you busy brainstorming new ideas this year? Don’t forget your tools.
